DO YOUR BEST - How to be a Scout by Bear Grylls

Towards the end of 2023, I was commissioned to illustrate a dream project, The Scouts’ new book ‘Do Your Best, How to be a Scout’ written by Bear Grylls, the first book produced by them since Robert Baden Powell’s ‘Scouting for Boys’ in 1908.
Thankfully things have moved on since then and this book was aimed at a more diverse ordinance! With over 140 illustrations from chapter headers to detailed ‘How to’s’ showing pitching a tent, leading a team, keeping fit, tying knots, memorise facts, identifying trees, stars and birds, as well as learning real survival skills like first aid and stashing your breakfast in the ground to keep it hot for the next morning!
